Terms of Use
Last updated: August 4, 2026
By using this site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What the tools are
Private Converters provides free, browser-based file conversion tools. Conversion runs on your device with your browser's capabilities; results can vary with browser, operating system, and the input file itself. Keep your originals — a conversion is a new file, not a substitute for a backup.
Open-source components
HEIC decoding uses libheif (with libde265), served unmodified under the LGPL-3.0 license. License text and provenance are published in the site's /vendor/libheif/ directory; the rest of the site's code is original.
No warranty
The site and tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't guarantee that any conversion is error-free or suitable for a specific use — verify important outputs before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, including loss of data from converted files. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it abusively, or use it in violation of applicable law. Convert only files you have the right to use.
Changes
Tools and these terms may change over time. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated terms.
